This Accessibility Statement applies to the online learning platform of the project WARM – Promoting wellness and resilience in eco-anxiety (“the Platform”). We are committed to ensuring that all users, including people with disabilities, have full and equal access to our content and services.
Our accessibility commitment
The Platform aims to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as required by the EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102). We strive to provide an accessible digital experience regardless of device, assistive technology or ability.
Accessibility features
The Platform includes the following features to support accessibility:
- Responsive layout optimized for mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
- Clear navigation structure and consistent interface.
- Readable font sizes and sufficient contrast between text and background.
- Keyboard-accessible menus and interactive elements.
- Alternative text for images where applicable.
- Descriptive link text for better screen reader comprehension.
- Non-flashing, non-triggering visual design.
- Content structured with semantic HTML for assistive technologies.
Limitations and known issues
We are aware that some parts of the Platform may not be fully accessible yet. These may include:
- uploaded PDFs or external documents from partner organisations that may not be fully tagged,
- video materials without subtitles or transcripts (where available they will be added),
- interactive learning elements that may not be fully optimized for screen readers,
- older third-party WordPress/LMS components with partial accessibility limitations.
We are continuously working to improve accessibility across all course materials and platform features.
Measures we are taking
To improve accessibility, we are committed to:
- reviewing platform content against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria,
- using accessible templates and components when adding new modules,
- providing training to project partners on accessible content creation,
- ensuring that all new content is evaluated for accessibility before publication.

Response time
We aim to respond to accessibility-related requests within 15 working days. If your request involves materials from one of our project partners, the response time may vary slightly depending on their internal procedures.
Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response, or if you believe we are not meeting WCAG or EU accessibility requirements, you have the right to contact your national enforcement body for digital accessibility:

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technologies
The Platform is designed to work with:
- modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari),
- screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver),
- keyboard-only navigation,
- mobile assistive tools (iOS / Android accessibility features).
Older browsers may not fully support all accessibility functions.
Third-party content
Some documents or resources may originate from partner organisations. While we encourage partners to follow accessibility standards, we cannot guarantee full compliance for all third-party content.
Continuous improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment within the WARM project. As new content, modules or features are added, they will be reviewed to maintain and improve accessibility across the Platform.
