This Cookie Notice explains how the online learning platform of the project WARM – Promoting wellness and resilience in eco-anxiety (“the Platform”) uses cookies and similar technologies. The Platform is operated within an EU-funded project and is committed to using only the minimum number of cookies necessary for its basic operation.
This Cookie Notice should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal data.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and ensure correct technical functioning, such as keeping you logged in while you navigate between pages.
Types of cookies we use
The Platform uses only essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the website and the learning management system (LMS) to function correctly.
Essential / strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for:
- secure login and authentication,
- maintaining active user sessions,
- navigation between lessons, modules and dashboard pages,
- ensuring that the LMS (e.g. LearnPress / WordPress components) works properly,
- basic security and protection against misuse.
Without these cookies, the Platform cannot function as intended and you may not be able to log in or access course content.
Cookies we do not use
The Platform does not use any of the following:
- Google Analytics or other web analytics tools,
- Meta Pixel or similar marketing pixels,
- Hotjar or user behaviour recording tools,
- advertising or tracking cookies,
- third-party profiling or behavioural remarketing technologies.
The Platform is designed to avoid unnecessary tracking and is focused solely on providing free educational content within the scope of the WARM project.
Legal basis for using cookies
Essential cookies are used on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), specifically to ensure the technical operation, security and accessibility of the Platform.
Because we only use essential cookies and do not use analytics or advertising cookies, a consent banner for optional cookies is not required.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- view which cookies are stored on your device,
- delete cookies,
- block cookies from specific websites,
- block all cookies.
Please note that if you choose to block or delete essential cookies, some parts of the Platform may not work properly and you may not be able to log in or complete courses.
Personal data and privacy
Some cookies may relate to your user session (for example, keeping you logged in), but they are not used to track your behaviour across other websites or to build a profile of you.
For full details on how we handle personal data, including your rights under the GDPR, please see our Privacy Policy available on the Platform.
Changes to this Cookie Notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements or the way the Platform operates. Any updates will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be adjusted accordingly.
